The Gemini Theater produces original, interactive, children’s musicals which focus on artistic, cultural and educational themes. This week we welcome members of the cast of Little Mermaid as they preview their production live in our studios.

Mac Howison of The Sprout Fund joins us to discuss their Spark grants, aimed at educating children through exposure to technology, along with students from HHOL, Joe Wos of the Toonseum, and Deren Guler from RePlayMyPlay.

Cast members from Alice, inspired by Lewis Carroll’s classic tale, join us to preview a scene, along with music director Buddy Nutt, who will provide the soundtrack, live on SLB.

As part of our ongoing series, we’re pleased to welcome Sean Nimmo, a talented pianist and junior at North Allegheny High School. Live on SLB.

Cast members of Saltworks Young Company, along with director Michelina Pollini, join us to perform a scene from their upcoming production of C.S. Lewis’ classic story

Andrew Percy, a sophomore music major at the Lincoln Park Performing Arts Charter School, began playing violin at the age of eight. We’re pleased to host this Young Artist Winner, live on SLB.

Markus Lindner and Cindy Harris share their experiences with the Aspect Foundation, a nonprofit student exchange organization.  Markus, originally from Leipzig in Eastern Germany discusses his experiences here in the states.

Pittsburgh Concert Society’s Young Artist Winner’s Showcase: Trio

We’re excited to kick off our latest youth music series, courtesy of the Pittsburgh Concert Society. This week we’ll feature talented marimba player Hanna Kim, a sophomore at CAPA, live in our studios!

Teacher Christine Wolfe, along with a group of aspiring young writers, join us in the second installment of our two part series highlighting the Young Writer’s Institute, a program which seeks to enhance writing skills in both students and teachers. This week, students discuss their forays into prose.
