Pittsburgh Stevens Pre-K-8

After an invigorating discussion of how our planet works, Pittsburgh Stevens Pre-K-8 students share with us why they think it’s important to save our environment.

Roses are red, violets are blue, our students make poetry, especially for you!  In this session, Pittsburgh Stevens PreK-8 students construct poems based on familiar beginnings.

4^th and 5^th Graders at Pittsburgh Stevens PreK-8 describe their favorite physical activities, and some give us a play-by-play of how they win the game!

After a long break, students at Pittsburgh Stevens PreK-8 tell us how they responded when over 15” of snow fell in Allegheny County overnight.

What is the American Dream? Students at Pittsburgh Stevens Prek-8 discuss what the American Dream means to them, including examples of people in our history who have lived the American Dream, or have helped to make it possible.

Pittsburgh Stevens PreK-8 students contemplate the earthquake in Haiti. In these reflections, our 4th and 5th graders explore how this catastrophe has affected them, and what they are doing to help.

Our neighborhoods help to shape who we are. Pittsburgh Stevens PreK-8 students share with us the pros and cons of the neighborhoods in which they live.

To commemorate his life and work, Pittsburgh Stevens Pre-K-8 students discuss the significance of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in both their lives and the lives of others. In this session, students also retell stories of Dr. MLK, Jr. that have left a powerful impression on them.
