The Saturday Light Brigade

For our latest youth music series, we’re proud to feature the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra. This week’s PYSO guests, a very talented string quartet with harp & bass, will perform a Debussy piece live in our studios.

Meet a “big/little” pair matched by Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh and learn how you can make a difference in a child’s life. This week, we’re joined by Big Sister Rhonda Baertsch and Little Sister Deanna, along with BBBS staff member Pam Slomiany.

The Brilliant Bookworms, an afterschool storytelling club of 4th & 5th grade students from Winchester Thurstson School, join us for a special “scary” storytelling session, live in our studios.

We’re pleased to welcome this wonderful band whose Americana sound is sure to please fans of roots-rock and folk music, live in our studios.

Girl Scout Troop 51129 join us for a studio tour and leave us with a great campfire song.

Violinist Hannah Chang, a talented, 6 year-old first grade student at Falk School, joins us to perform live in our studios.

We’re pleased to welcome members of the cast of The Legend of Sleepy Hollow as they perform a scene from this classic story.

Adapted for student performances, this timeless story features student actors of the Richard E. Rauh Conservatory and Robert Morris University along with the CAPA Symphony. We’re happy to host members of the cast as they perform live in our studios.
