Pittsburgh Public SchoolsIn partnership with Pittsburgh Public Schools, SLB is leading workshops as part of the ELECT Student Works afterschool programs conducted at Greenfield, Lincoln, Manchester, Miller, Roosevelt and Sunnyside schools.

During the 2007-2008 school year, SLB will visit these K-through-8 schools to capture original thoughts and essays for broadcast, publication on CD and web archiving. Consistent with our mission, this project is designed to encourage verbal literacy, listening skills and sharing of thoughts and feelings.

In this piece titled “If I Were Mayor” students were asked to voice issues and concerns in their community and what they would change if they were given the chance.
