T. Mitchell Bell grew up in a small steel town outside of Pittsburgh. Mr. Bell’s musical roots run deep: his great-aunt taught piano, his grandmother played piano at his church, his great-grandfather made fiddles in WV, and his father is a jazz drummer. Absorbing this familial history has enabled Mitch to write timeless country-folk songs with meaningful lyrical content. We’re happy to host him live on SLB.

We’re pleased to have welcome renowned singer-songwriter Sally Spring live in our studios. Sally, whose beautiful voice will instantly charm fans of folk music, will be accompanied by her husband Ted on acoustic resonator guitar.

We’re please to host Sleep Experiments, a trio who combine acoustic guitars, keyboards and three-part harmony to make beautiful, ambient folk music.

We’re pleased to welcome back Philadelphia’s The Great Unknown Band, whose soaring harmonies and acoustic arrangements are sure to please fans of Americana music.

We’re pleased to welcome guitarist Jamie Bell, along with clarinetist Rebecca DeStefano McNeil, as they perform their special mix of Brazilian Choro music, live in our studios.

We’re pleased to welcome the very talented Justin Andrew and his band, who create tasteful, folk-pop music. Mr. Andrew’s thoughtful lyrics are delivered via beautiful melody lines, interwoven with pedal steel guitar, drums and bass.

Pittsburgh-based singer-songwriter Heather Kropf’s music is a blend of piano-driven folk, soul, and pop. She’ll be joined by guitarist Keith Hershberger.

A Generous Act is an exciting and innovative project conceived by artist Mark Garry, in which a talented group of international musicians will collaborate over a period of 16 days at the Mattress Factory museum, whose 4th floor has been converted into a recording studio.
