Pittsburgh Brashear After School: Hall Sweeps
There were lots of new faces in After School this week so we revisited the how to use the equipment and microphone technique. To get to know each other, students wrote and recorded “Three Things About Me” then, in a round table format, talked about a hot topic policy at thier school; hall sweeps.
Clairton CASTLE 2014: “Pea-Demonium”
Students at Clairton CASTLE were asked to write a not-so-typical story, one that had to begin like this: “One night, you’re eating dinner with your family, when one of the peas on your plate starts whispering to you. What does it say?” Below are their finished and recorded surreal yarns.

Pittsburgh King After School: Thankfulness & Holiday Traditions
After School students from the Pittsburgh King came to the SLB studios in the North Side. There, students wrote and recorded what they’re thankful for, and some of their family traditions around the holiday season. They were also introduced to editing software we will be using later in the school year.
Wilkinsburg After School: Studio Visit/What I’m Thankful For
Students came to visit the studio to learn how the equipment works and took control on the Studer mixer. Also students wrote and recorded what they are thankful for.
