Since 1978, The Saturday Light Brigade has broadcast LIVE spontaneous on-air phone calls from kids and adults as part of its Saturday morning radio program. Now you can hear some of the most memorable calls from people participating in on-air games and other participatory features or simply calling to tell us about something exciting.

Environmental Charter School 3rd Grade Persuasive Writing Project: Career Exploration

In Spring 2014, SLB worked with 75 third graders at ECS as they identified issues of concern in town hall meetings, interviewed community members about their careers, and created radio advertisements to promote these careers and their connection to the ECS guiding principles of Catalyst, Character, Collaboration and Commitment.

Students in Tween Scene at Carnegie Library – Woods Run, wrote and recorded these pieces where they describe themselves in many ways! These pieces are the result of the second of six weekly sessions in which students are learning about the equipment and techniques used in producing radio features.

Clairton CASTLE: Makey Makey

Students at Clairton CASTLE were introduced to the Makey Makey, an invention kit that turns everyday objects into touchpads for a computer. From becoming a human piano to playing Pong on oranges, students experimented with basic circuit-building.
