Since 1978, The Saturday Light Brigade has broadcast LIVE spontaneous on-air phone calls from kids and adults as part of its Saturday morning radio program. Now you can hear some of the most memorable calls from people participating in on-air games and other participatory features or simply calling to tell us about something exciting.

Student teams from Keystone Oaks and North Allegheny discuss their winning videos about spending time outside.

Pittsburgh Spring Hill K-5 Radio Club: Spring Poems

Students in Radio Club at Pittsburgh Spring Hill K-5 wrote and recorded these acrostic poems about spring. First we had a discussion about what makes an acrostic poem (a poem in which the first letter of each line in the text spells out a word or a message – in this case, SPRING). Then, everyone wrote their poems and drew pictures to accompany them!

The ZONE: When I Grow Up and Other Stories

The ZONE radio clubbers wrote and recorded a quick story about what they want to be when they grow up. After recording we used a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) named Logic Pro to make beats along with their story recordings.

Project Destiny Radio Club: My Achievements

Today in Radio Club we talked about a time that we achieved something. Whether it was working hard to get a good grade on a test or just a proud moment, everyone had something inspiring to share! Everyone had a chance to run the mixing board and record their peers in the process.
