Spotlight: Pittsburgh Folk Festival w/ Mimi Jong
Mimi Jong has played the erhu – an ancient chinese instrument – since the age of ten. She has performed alongside members of the Pittsburgh Symphony and renowned Jazz musicians. Jong also performed with Mary Miller Dance Company, and taught/performed at Huntingdon Council for the Arts “Folk College.”

Students ages 15 through 17 in the Future Is Mine program through the Consortium for Public Education talk about the program and what they’ve learned, why it’s important to them, how it’s helped them grow and how they imagine their future.
Pittsburgh Allegheny PreK-8 – Can Pals Session 1
As part of the HearMe initiative, Kindergarten students at Pittsburgh Allegheny Pre-K-8 wrote and recorded these essays. Topics range from a favorite movie, to whales, jets, May and even a loss of a family member.
