On August 18th, 2013, residents and supporters of Millvale, Pennsylvania in Allegheny County celebrated the grand opening of their very first public library. A wholly communal project seven years in the making, the library--in addition to housing a wide variety of books and an array of state-of-the-art computers--will act as a hub of programming for educational, occupational, and community-based support for children and families of the Millvale area.
