Pittsburgh Faison K-8 & PPC: The Parks and Eco-Stewardship
40 Students ages 6-9 from Pittsburgh Faison K-8, with guidance from SLB, HearMe and Pittsburgh Parks Conservancy, share their thoughts and feelings about their parks. Stories range from why the park is so fun, building bird houses, planting seeds, what they would do to change or improve the park, and even bugs!
Pittsburgh Manchester PreK-8 – North Side Songs – My Favorite Things
Students in the 4th grade class at Pittsburgh Manchester PreK-8 spent a class learning about microphones and recording as part of the North Side Songs project. As an introductory activity they recorded these short personal bios containing a few of their favorite things.
Barrett Elementary – Bullying
Students at Barrett Elementary in Homestead talk about bullying and how it affects them and others as part of their after-school program. They also share ways to fix the problem and give thought to possible causes of bullying in their school, summer camp and their neighborhoods.
