Since 1978, The Saturday Light Brigade has broadcast LIVE spontaneous on-air phone calls from kids and adults as part of its Saturday morning radio program. Now you can hear some of the most memorable calls from people participating in on-air games and other participatory features or simply calling to tell us about something exciting.

Guaranteed Irish

Guaranteed Irish have been performing Irish ballads and dance music for over 20 years. Paddy Folan, Bruce Foley and Jimmy Lamb combine button accordion, guitars and uilleann pipes, all the while singing in their own distinctive and energetic way to make a sound that is true to the traditions of Irish music. We’re happy to host them live in our studios.

King For a Day: A Tribute to Martin Luther King, Jr.

Lohio’s music shifts between intimate, instrumentally rich folk songs and midwestern infused, Neil Young-esque indie rock. Singer/songwriter Greg Dutton’s hushed vocals and the bands knack for tackling a range of genre’s draws comparisons to artists such as Sufjan Stevens, Yo La Tengo, and Wilco. Martin Luther King, Jr. Storybox

Students in 6th through 8th grade at Pittsburgh Manchester Pre-K-8 took time to reflect on the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This StoryBox unit presents the resulting spoken essays about his life as well as through verbal interpretations of specific passages from Dr. King’s speeches.
