Propel Homestead – 4th Grade – It’s Cool to Care!
As part of a 6-week Creative Arts program focused on radio broadcasting, Propel Homestead fourth graders identified social issues that concerned them. They then researched, wrote and recorded these public service announcements to promote organizations working to address these issues.
Propel Homestead – Kindergarten – Animals on the Air
As part of a 6-week Creative Arts program, Propel Homestead kindergartners shared information about animals through drawing, role play and storytelling while also learning about the technology used to make audio recordings. What follows are the stories they recorded about their favorite animals. These stories are also scheduled for distribution via The Saturday Light Brigade radio program.
Propel Homestead – 2nd Grade – Superhero Bug Stories
As part of a 6-week Creative Arts program, Propel Homestead second graders wrote, illustrated and recorded original stories about heroes and bugs (and sometimes both!), while also learning about the technology used to make audio recordings. Here are some examples of those stories as well as some recordings of their career hopes. These recordings are also scheduled for distribution via The Saturday Light Brigade radio program.
Propel McKeesport – 3rd Grade – It’s Cool to Care!
As part of a 6-week Creative Arts program focused on radio broadcasting, Propel McKeesport third graders identified social issues that concerned them. They then researched, wrote and recorded these public service announcements to promote

Propel McKeesport – 1st Grade – Original Stories
These 36 original stories were created by Propel McKeesport first graders as part of a 6-week Creative Arts program provided by The Saturday Light Brigade, which focused on storytelling, audio technology and the power of the human voice.
