From There to Here… 2018/2019
As part of their Fall 2018 Social Studies unit, thirty-two Winchester Thurston School fifth graders interviewed people who came to the Pittsburgh area from other parts of the world. Here are excerpts from these interviews, and the students’ reflections on this project.
Manchester Academic Charter School Afterschool : MACS FM
Students in grades 6-8 at Manchester Academic Charter School are working with SLB Radio to prepare and record weekly podcasts and commentaries as part of an afterschool program. These pieces are a result of their weekly sessions in which students will learn about the microphones, mixers and digital recorders used in producing features for radio.
