The Aurora Reading Club of Pittsburgh
Founded by six pioneering women in 1894, The Aurora Reading Club of Pittsburgh is one of the oldest arts and cultural organizations in the nation. Since its beginnings 125 years ago, and throughout its history, members have demonstrated a commitment to self-improvement and engaging in activities for the benefit of the community. Inclusive Innovation Feature on Youth Express
On 4/4, SLB Radio was proud to partner with the City of Pittsburgh for its third annual Inclusive Innovation Week. Here are excerpts from our live Youth Express webcast during which we welcomed children, youth and adults to our studios to talk with each other about play, pastimes and more. Special thanks to Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, Playful Pittsburgh Collaborative, Age-Friendly Greater Pittsburgh, CLP Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, Pittsburgh Center for Creative Reuse and Fine Art Miracles, Inc. for collaborating on this multigenerational project project.
Digital Storytelling – Podcasts, Radio, and More
On February 21, 2018, SLB welcomed eleven teachers from multiple districts for a half-day workshop focused on creating and publishing radio and audio programs and classroom applications. This audio montage is culled from our icebreaker activity and features participants reflecting on their careers in teaching.
