My Holiday Traditions
During the holidays of 2010, several young students from Manchester Academic Charter School wrote stories about their traditions, many of which appeared in the Northside Chronicle. This week we’re joined by a few of the young writers, along with MACS faculty and Emily Leone of the NCS.

The Gemini Theater produces original, interactive, children’s musicals which focus on artistic, cultural and educational themes. This week we welcome members of the cast of Jungle Book as they preview their production of this classic story.
Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre School’s Anwen and Aviana
This week we’re joined by PBT School students Anwen David and Aviana Adams, both of whom were selected to compete in the prestigious Prix de Lausanne 2011 in Switzerland. The competition’s goal is to reveal the potential of exceptionally talented young dancers from around the globe. These gifted teens will discuss their art and aspirations live in our studios.

This week we’re pleased to welcome the very talented multi-instrumentalist Read Connolly, who will perform solo instrumental picking on guitar and dobro.
New Years Hopes
Look for six new SLB StoryBoxes featuring the voices of sixty children expressing their hopes for 2011 at First Night Pittsburgh. Created in conjunction with The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and the Hear Me project, these StoryBoxes will be installed at the Pittsburgh Cultural Trust Arts Education Center, 805/807 Liberty Avenue, Downtown from New Year’s Eve through late January.
