Pittsburgh Langley K-8: Three Things About Me
Students in Citiparks’ After School Academy at Pittsburgh Langley K-8 wrote and recorded three things about themselves. These pieces are a result of the first of seven weekly sessions in which students are learning about the equipment and techniques used in producing features for radio.

Pittsburgh King PreK-8: First trip to SLB Broadcast Studios
Students in Citiparks’ After School Academy at Pittsburgh King PreK-8 went on their first field trip to The Saturday Light Brigade broadcast studios, where they learned about the equipment used in live broadcast, as well as some new techniques.
Pittsburgh King PreK-8, After School Workshop: My Favorite Things & If I were President
Students attending the Radio Club after school workshop at Pittsburgh King Elementary learned a slew of new things on their first day: Proper mic technique and the roles of a producer, engineer and “the talent” during a recording session.
Pittsburgh Schiller 6-8: Introduction to Editing
Students in Radio Club at Pittsburgh Schiller 6-8 recorded these short pieces describing something that is of importance to them. They then began learning the basics of editing using these pieces and working as a class. These pieces are a result of the third of six weekly sessions in which students will learn about the microphones, mixers and digital recorders used in producing features for radio.
