Students at Clairton continued to experiment with radio dramaturgy, this time by performing part of an episode from the famous western series “Gunsmoke.”
Remember radio dramas? Orson Welles’ “War of the Worlds,” “Gunsmoke,” and “The Shadow” are but a few examples of a golden age of radio-based entertainment. Students at Clairton’s CASTLE program–after listening to a couple plays–selected and performed part of a “Dragnet” episode… “The Big No Tooth!”
With Valentine’s Day around the corner, our group of young ladies at Perry after school decided to have a conversation about relationships and the trials and triumphs that can accompany them.

Students at Clairton were asked to write about their typical day–with no detail being too small. “What happens? Where do you go? What do you do? What’s the best part of your day?” And, finally, “what’s the worst part?”
