Storymobiles are libraries-on-wheels; taking stories, books, and parenting resources to public housing communities and childcare homes and centers throughout the greater Pittsburgh region. The visits are designed to promote and support reading and literacy-based activities for children and their families.. The Storymobiles loan thousands of age-appropriate, high-quality books annually to children, parents, and teachers.

In Spring and Summer of 2013, children and adults in Northview Heights were asked questions about literacy, including “Why is reading important?” and “Why do you like to read?”
