As part of their Fall 2014 Social Studies unit, thirty-three Winchester Thurston School fifth graders interviewed people who came to the U.S. from other countries.
This collaboration between SLB Radio Productions, Inc. and Winchester Thurston School was funded by the City as Our Campus initiative.

Erin Dawn “Scratchy” Hutter 1966 – 2014
SLB was sad to learn of the October 27, 2014 passing of Erin Dawn “Scratchy” Hutter and extends our deepest sympathy to all touched by her life and music, including the many students she taught during her 20-year career as a music teacher in the North Hills School District. Here she is with the Scottish fiddle tune Flowers of Edinburgh from her appearance with Slim Forsythe & The Park Lane Drifters on the March 28, 2009 edition of The Saturday Light Brigade.

From 10-25-14: Blues legend Roy Book Binder. Roy traveled with the legendary Rev. Gary Davis in the late 60’s. The Book, recorded his first solo acoustic Blues album in the 70’s, which was the first to receive 5 stars in DOWNBEAT magazine!
