Since 1978, The Saturday Light Brigade has broadcast LIVE spontaneous on-air phone calls from kids and adults as part of its Saturday morning radio program. Now you can hear some of the most memorable calls from people participating in on-air games and other participatory features or simply calling to tell us about something exciting.

Middle schoolers at Pittsburgh King revisited the radio studio, this time writing character biographies for their very own super hero alter-egos (names, powers, weaknesses). The students then told the story of their dramatic origins, as well as that of their arch-villain’s!

Students at Pittsburgh King were given a variety of writing prompts ranging from: “What would you change if you were president?” to “What is an important issue in your life?” After writing, they then made these recordings. One student even recorded a brief preview of a TV script she had written in her spare time!
