Propel East – 5th Grade – It’s Cool To Care
[dmalbum path=”/wp-content/uploads/dm-albums/Propel East 5th Grade 2013/”/]
It’s Cool to Care
In Spring 2013 and as part of a 6-week Creative Arts program focused on radio broadcasting, Propel East 5th graders identified social issues that concerned them. They then researched, wrote and recorded these public service announcements to promote organizations working to address these issues. They also wrote reflections on what they’ve learned.
This project was designed to expose students to people making a difference, career opportunities focused on helping people, and the power of clear writing and speaking as a means of conveying information to others.

Elsa, Lauren, Amari, Tim and Daniel:
Thank you for selecting Hello Bully and advocating for Pit Bulls. I was very impressed with each of your PSA’s. We would love to have you as volunteers some day. Amazing kids like you are going to change the world and make it a better place for Pit Bulls. Thanks again and keep up the great work!
Nicole
Hello Bully

Elsa, Lauren, Amari, Tim, and Daniel,
Thank you so much for creating PSAs for Hello Bully! It is very clear that you identified an important social issue and did a fantastic job researching! You all spoke perfectly on behalf of the dogs and we are all honored that you represented Hello Bully so well. Sending tail wags and Pit Bull kisses to each of you!
