The first year of high school can be a tough adjustment for a young person. But with time comes wisdom – and Radio Club members at Perry After School have no shortage of that.
Radio Club members at Perry Traditional Academy were asked to talk about their school; what they like about and and a few things they might change. Some interesting amendments were proposed, like pushing back the 6:45 AM start time and instituting a dress code. Students were also asked to include their favorite memory of their career at Perry to this point.
After School Radio Club students at Pittsburgh King participated in a round table discussion about their neighborhoods–what they about them liked, what they didn’t like, and what they would change.
Students at the North Side’s Perry Traditional Academy were asked to write and record about Thanksgiving. Some chose to write about Turkey Day’s past, while others wrote about the history of the tradition – but each Radio Club member was required to talk about the future – and what they were looking forward to at this year’s Thanksgiving.
Students at Clairton were asked, with the holiday only days away, what were some of their favorite things about Thanksgiving. Have a great holiday vacation everyone!
Over the course of a few weeks Perry Traditional Academy students were asked to write their own commercials. Radio Club members got to voice their own spots, as well as choose music and sound effects for their advertisement.
